CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION

EBL performs construction phase services on over 90% of our commissioned design projects.  For governmental agencies, the extent of construction administration services is usually well defined and for many agencies, the number of hours allotted for this work is actually specified in the contract.  The extent of our construction administration on governmental projects has varied from these limited roles to full time, on site inspections, especially for GSA.  Our construction department has routinely handled the following tasks:

• Shop drawing and submittal reviews
• Construction observations and inspections
• Attend progress meetings
• Make site visits when necessary to review field conditions and answer questions
• Provide answers to requests for information
• Review contractors' requisitions
• Review contractors' proposals and prepare change orders
• Review contractor markups prior to preparation of "as-built" drawings.
