OUR HISTORY

EBL Engineers, Inc. was founded in 1972 by Benjamin Egerton, Moritz Bukowitz and
George Lengyel with an original focus on mechanical and electrical engineering. To meet
the expanding needs of the firm's clientele, EBL began the development of what is today
EBL's Fire Engineering Division through the acquisition of Hanna Fire Engineering in 1988.
In 2001, long-standing sub-consultant Purdum and Jeschke was purchased, which enabled EBL to provide a more comprehensive base of services.

In 2008 EBL Code Consulting was launched to provide a code consulting emphasis for a variety of specialized code interpretation, fire protection engineering and fire/life-safety consultation services among other engineering disciplines.

Today, EBL Engineers, LLC is truly a multi-discipline engineering firm specializing in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, as well as fire protection engineering and code consulting.
